The swimming pool and its facilities

The Château du Colombier has a beautiful 12-metre outdoor swimming pool.

It is usually open from May to mid-October, although these dates may vary depending on the weather. It is heated to ensure a comfortable swim, even outside the hot summer days.

The swimming pool is fully automated: a control system automatically regulates the chlorine and pH levels, whilst the heat pump provides independent heating. It is secured by a new pool cover that complies with child-safety standards to prevent drowning.

Sun loungers, armchairs, small tables and parasols are available for you to enjoy your time in the pool: rubber rings, inflatable mattresses or kickboards for the little ones...

In addition, at the Château you’ll find a pétanque court, complete with boules, as well as a Molkky set.

The safety curtain – Liability & proper use

The pool cover must be closed when the pool is not in use: for the safety of children, to keep the pool clean, and to prevent chlorine loss and heat loss.

A demonstration will be given when you are handed the keys. Please ensure you follow the instructions provided. The safety cover provides protection in accordance with safety standards, provided it is used correctly. Gîte Château du Colombier accepts no liability should the cover be left open or used incorrectly.

Please note that the pool is 2.20m deep at its deepest point. However, the sides slope gently, allowing you to touch the bottom all the way round.
